Gerson on "The Ugly Party"

Michael Gerson says this morning that he increasingly sees political division not so much on the basis of ideology, but as being between the "ugly party" and the "grown up party." As to why he feels more comfortable in the "grown up party":

I am more comfortable in this party for a few reasons: because it is more responsible, more reliable and less likely to wish its opponents would die.
